Subject: Beau Event in
DC
Jeff, Robert, Chris, Tim and John-
Hope you are all doing well. As charter members of the
Biden Alumni and Friends Club, I wanted to reach out to you and see if you could
get involved in an event we are planning for Beau in DC on the evening of March
18th for his re-election as AG. Patrick Steel (
who many of you
know) has agreed to host it at his house here in DC and we are putting together
a host committee and thought you all would want to be involved. It is the
first event we are doing as part of the re-elect (either here or in DE) and
wanted to try and get a strong host committee together and really raise as much
as possible from Beau’s friends in DC. He doesn’t yet have an opponent, so
it would be great to raise a lot quickly and show there is strong support for
Beau.
To be a host, it’d be great if you could max out to Beau
($1200). In addition, while it is not required, it would be great if you
could put together some additional checks as well (from a spouse, colleagues,
PAC, etc). Delaware allows contributions from individuals, PAC and
corporations – all at a $1200 max.
We are putting together an invite now so let me know if you
think you would like to be listed as a host. Also, if you can think
of additional hosts that would be great. We are not asking Administration
or Government employees to be hosts, but they can give and attend as long as
their agency allows it.
Let Hunter or me know if you have any questions.
If you think it would be helpful to arrange a quick call on this to brainstorm
on some names, details, etc. let me know.
Thanks,
Eric
