Hunter:

Thanks for the email and we'd be delighted to host both firms in their visit. We can also coordinate with Alan's office. I'll ask David Weir to be in touch to get the ball rolling.

Thanks again and have a wonderful Easter.

Subject: Following Up

How are you?  It was great to see you on St. Patrick’s Day.  I wanted to follow up on our conversation then and have a couple of companies that we are working with that I’d like to introduce to you who are interested in locating in Delaware.    And if possible, I’d like to bring them up to Newark in the next couple of weeks.

One is a pair of sister companies called DuCool and Aqua Sciences.   I have attached one-pagers on both.  They currently produce their products in Israel and are looking for a U.S. manufacturing facility.   It is an incredible technology and Aqua Sciences was particularly us eful in Haiti after the earthquake where they donated two of their machines to help bring water to hospitals that needed it.  DuCool is also a potentially transformative technology that can make HVAC much more efficient.

The founders of both companies will be in the U.S. over the next couple of weeks and ideally they would like to come up to Newark on Monday, April 12th if you think this would make sense.  I thought it would be good to introduce you to them and they could talk to whomever else you think would be appropriate.  I was also going to think about taking them to meet with Alan Levin, but let me know what you think makes the most sense.

The other company is called Ormazabal.  They are a Spanish company also looking to establish a U.S. presence and potentially a manufacturing facility.  They are the global market leader in medium voltage transmission for off-shore wind projects but have yet to access the U.S. market.   Ormazabal’s Chairman is also in the U.S. that week and depending on some meetings that he may need to do in DC and NY may be available to come to Delaware as well (perhaps the 14th or 15th).   I have attached a deck on Ormazabal which gives more information on their products and plans.  Right now, their schedule is a little less definite than DuCool/Aqua Sciences but I am encouraging them to take time to come to Delaware on this trip.

When I mentioned our conversation to both companies they were both very interested in the possibilities Delaware and a location in Newark offered - both from a business development point of view but also from a research collaboration point of view.

I am around the rest of the week but headed to China for the week on Monday and am cc:ing Eric Schwerin on this so that you or the appropriate person can follow up with him if I hard to reach next week.

Let me know your thoughts on the above.  Hope I haven’t sent you too much information but I wanted to make sure you had enough.  They are both really interesting companies and I think they would be perfectly in line with what you and I discussed.

Look forward to seeing you soon.

Best,

Hunter
