Hi Hunter,

Nice to meet you. I have been working with Matt Thornton and the State of Michigan to develop a smart metering RFP for the state.  Initially Rick and I with Matt and Bryan Seal and the Directors of Facilities and Purchasing within the Department of Management and Budget.  At that time, a brief overview was provided to the State about the benefits smart metering technology could provide.  It was determined by the Director of Purchasing that the State would issue an RFP for the service.  Since that time, Matt has provided the State with sample language for an RFP and I have been in communication with the State on setting up additional briefing meetings for Smartsync to explain the technology to the rest of the state departments.  Based on information I received from the State yesterday, language is being prepared to release an RFP that will allow local units of government to contract with Smartsync and later a second RFP will be released for the State’s purposes.

My next step is to schedule time for Matt and his team to meet with the State’s energy regulation team for follow up questions, if you would like to be a part of those discussions, please feel free to let me know.  If you need any other information do not hesitate to contact me.

Hunter –

It is great to hear from you. Yes, we are making substantial progress in Michigan. Monique Field,  my associate, has been working closely with Matt Thornton and, by way of copy, I am asking her to give you a bit more detail.

A;; the best.

Good Morning Rick,

Hope you’re doing well. We just got back from spending a few days with SmartSynch and I thought I would touch base regarding their progress in Michigan. Matt said things are advancing and I wanted to make contact in the event that you think our support could be helpful. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think we can be of added value.

Best,

Hunter
