      Reference: To Serve on the initial Board of Directors of the Corporation for Travel Promotion (Board).

Dear Mr. Connor:

Based on the Federal Register Vol.75 No 74 Monday April 19, 2010, I hereby apply for the Travel Promotion Board position. As per attached details you would find that I have extensive background in International Travel and tourism marketing.  I am also Us Citizen and  have time to serve on TPA Board.

Requirements:

a.       I have been in partner and management of Hotels in US since 1979. Currently serve as the Treasurer of Delaware Hotel & Lodging Association, Board of directors of American Hotel & Lodging Association, Board of directors of Delaware Hotel & Lodging association, Ambassador for Asian American Hotel Owners association

b.      CEO of MRPC Hotels Including small business Developer, Owner & Operator of Hotels in Mid Atlantic area like Newark, DE;  BWi Airport,  Dulles Airport, Philadelphia Airport,. This includes Hotel chains like Carlson, Choice and restaurant franchise like Camille’s Side walk café and Four Points by Sheraton.

c.       Small Business Owner and recipient of the “Delaware Businessman of the year award”.

d.      All Hotels were started from inception and served as the Treasure of Choice Hotels Owners Council where managed the Distribution Channels like On Line & GDS.

e.      Travel since 1975 to the 75 % of the world including Far East, Middle East, and Europe.  Also have traveled all the states of US.  Enjoyed the recreation part of it. Taken MLK III delegation to India and working in taking VP Biden’s Delegation.

f.        Member of Wilmington CVB from 1995 and Nominated for the Board position

g.       Involved in the Delaware Tourism Alliance since 1995, At AH&LA governmental affairs help in passing the Travel Promotion Act.

h.      Have travelled extensively in US & Abroad and frequent traveler in most Airlines, Car rental & Hotel companies 

i.         Being an immigrant from 1975, have the working knowledge of Immigration laws & Visa requirements.

j.        Travelled to DC and NYC thru Amtrak & Trail ways as needed as consultant.

As per attached Resume,  I have been an international Traveler since 1975.  I have visited 75% of the world.  I serve on the Number of Hotel Association Board & in tune with Travel Promotion Act.  I also have great ties with Steven Joyce as our TPA chairman of the Board.
