What the hell is Hunter doing?   I think he needs to get the meeting with Clinton.

Devon usually skips the first two steps and just sends the invoice – his way of boosting profitability!

We can talk to Hunter about this but that would probably be Rob Norton.  We'll have to develop a couple of options in our proposal (or as a backup).

Agreed.  Don't want to increase expectations because they may come back and not be willing to pay us what a project of this magnitude would cost, BUT Bill Deeb has always been a fairly straight shooter and he said to me that Mrs. Storz has the money if she thinks it is worthwhile.  I think the key thing for them (particularly what excited Peter) is putting together a worthwhile program that they could personally present to Bill Clinton and/or Paul Farmer and looking to us to position them to do both.   I told Bill Deeb that it would require 3-4 months of prep work at least before we got to that point, but he understood that.

If we are to do this, I think it makes sense to talk to Rob Norton, our friend who did CSR work for Pfizer and possibly outsource a little of it to him.  He'd be a big help.

I think could be a nice program – big, over a long period of time and we’d be the General Contractor – servicing the components that we’d want to do / can do and then sub out the other components and take the mark up to coordinate / program manage under the Rosemont Seneca umbrella.

Haven't really had an opportunity to brief Hunter and Devon on this but just got off the phone with Bill Deeb at Karl Storz to talk further about our meeting on Monday.

In short, the opportunity is very different than I envisioned going into meeting.  It is less just a sales opportunity and more Storz wanting to be a leader in the medical equipment community is disaster perparedness/relief/reconstruction and looking for our help in putting the program together and finding partners.

In our follow up call, Bill emphasized that he believes Mrs. Storz (and Peter, her right-hand guy, who attended the meeting from Germany) were serious about this and had a budget to match.

Bill envisioned building a consortium of medical equipment suppliers that would have equipment available at a moments notice to ship to disaster sites.  He saw each member of the consortium paying money into a fund which would be managed (perhaps by us - my idea) in the interim and which would go towards the relief efforts when necessary.

Hunter, this seems like it may be something to follow back up with Todd McCormack on, particularly given his connections to Paul Farmer/Partners in Health.

Anyway, let's discuss on our Monday call.

They are anxiously awaiting a proposal.
