I have heard some favorable reports recently about my
position in what is a very competitive and political process. Whether this
means that I am fortunate enough to receive a nomination this year or just miss
out on one this time but am set up well for the next vacancy, I don’t
know. In any event, I would love to touch base with you. By the way, it was
great to meet your dad at George and Karen’s last month. I had not known
that he is also a former public defender.
