Suddenly on Saturday, November 11, 2006. Beloved son of Allison I. David of Jacksonville, FL and the late Capt. Bruce E. Herbert, USN, formerly of Arlington, VA; cherished brother of Caroline Hillkirk and husband, John Hillkirk; fiancee Michelle LaBumbard; adored uncle of Jack and Grace Hillkirk of Annandale, VA. He is also survived by uncles, John Ingram of New York City, NY and Dr. Robert Herbert of St. Louis Park, MN; an aunt, Eleanor Gavin of E. Charleston, VT; seven cousins, many loving extended family members and devoted friends. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 23, 1965 and spent most of his life in the Washington, DC area. Geoffrey was bigger than life itself and touched many others with his kindness and infectious personality. He will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at DEMAINE SPRINGFIELD-ANNANDALE FUNERAL CHAPEL, Backlick & Edsall Rds., Springfield, VA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 3 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 1317 G St., N.W., Washington, DC 20006. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads in memory of Geoffrey Robert Herbert, c/o of Hillkirk, P.O. Box 485, Annandale, VA 22003
