Yes, four years, Herb's got me thinking like a broker.  It's all about 2011 deals, 2010 is done :)

Amen to the Allman Brothers and all the other music he ripped off the Internet.  The Recording Industry of America was about to catch up with our friend.

Thanks for sending this Sherb.  Rarely does a week pass where Geoff doesn't pop into my head.  Can't believe it's been 7 years since I moved to DC and was sharing an office with the big guy.  I will never forget trying to make cold calls while Geoff blasted music on his Nomad and/or talked on his phone so loud that Meltz could probably hear him in his office!  He treated my like family.  I think anyone who really knew him can probably say the same.  Here's to Geoff..may he be front row at an Allman Brothers concert wherever he may be.

P.S.  Isn't 4 years, not 5?

Subject: Our Great Friend!

To my brothas and wife:

Let's all take a moment to reflect on our times with BIG HERB.  Today is the fifth anniversary of his passing.  We know how much he loved reading books about rock stars that died before their time.  Geoff definitely hits that mark.

Whether it was the boisterous Herbster telling me to "step up to the big table" and join Ezra Company or a conversation about life and relationships Geoff was as sincere as they come.

If you're so moved, share a thought or two about our friend.   A man who brought so much cheer to those around him and yet somehow was struggling from within.

Geoff I miss you my big brother.  I think of you often and while I'm eventually saddened by the fact you're no longer here my first instinct is always a smile.  Whether golfing (if that's what he called it), a Ted Nugent concert (very at home) or the big Ezra conference table he always brought that wry smile and a big laugh for all.

Soldier on my brother!
