Dear Parents and Rowers,
Please read through the following important information about upcoming crew events.
Practice Schedule Changes for 2/25 and 2/26
The girls were notified last week that in order to make up for losing the morning practice yesterday (President's Day holiday), the team will meet this Friday morning, February 25th, 6:30-7:30am, in the Athletics Center. There will not be a Friday afternoon practice.
The Washington College trip scheduled for this Saturday, February 26th has been cancelled. The team will meet instead from 9:00 to 11:00am at Thompson's Boat Center. This is a mandatory, off water practice. The girls will work on the boats and go for a group run. Ted and Brooke will communicate the final details to the girls later this week.
All-Team Meeting March 2nd
The all team meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7:00pm in the Middle School Drama Studio. Please note this meeting is mandatory for all rowers and at least one parent/guardian.
Please bring your checkbook and a calendar to the meeting. We plan to cover quite a bit of information, including the following:

Practice and Race Schedule
- Brooke will talk about the coaches' expectations for the season, including the practice and race schedules, which will be distributed to parents and rowers at the meeting.
Uniforms
- For novice rowers, uniforms will cost $120, including the unisuit and tech shirt. Please bring a check or cash for that amount to the team meeting. Checks should be payable to "SFS Rowing."
- For returning rowers who need replacement uniform pieces, you may also order and pay for them (cash or check) at the meeting. The cost is $80 per unisuit and $40 per tech shirt. The cost will be higher if you place an order on your own later.
- Financial aid for uniform purchase is available upon request. To make a confidential request, please contact either of the team Co-Presidents--Liz Britton (ebrit@prodigy.net) or Sharon Fong (stfong007@gmail.com).
- This year, we plan to offer an optional piece to the uniform--a neon colored "Headsweats" racing hat (visible to parents from the shoreline)! You may pre-order a hat (and pre-pay/$10) at the meeting.
- Please direct all other uniform questions to team parent Kate Laguarda (kate.laguarda@gmail.com).
