We have done the economist route.  Almost prefer someone in politics who is interesting or someone from Treasury.  A little background of past investor tours:   evening tour of the White House and met  Andrew Card; evening tour of the Capitol and had a nice lecture in the House; Supreme Court – guest of one of the Justices; Federal Reserve and had a nice chat while seated in the main board room.

In some cases we have paid a fee from $2,500 – 7,500.  Last year, we did not pay Ken  a fee.  Sometimes, we have made a minor contribution to a favorite charity.  We have not gone to the “Speakers” Bureau in DC.  More, relationship related.

In the past have you paid a fee to these speakers and/or would you be willing to do so this year?  I don't think it is a requirement, but it obviously would expand the options.

Now that we have successfully resolved the venue for our annual investor dinner, we need to select  a guest speaker for Friday, April 29 beginning at 10:45 AM.  We prefer  an engaging speaker either in politics or finance  (public or private sector) who can speak for 45 minutes,  including questions.  Do you have any recommendations or suggestions?

2005 Stephen Fuller, PhD(Director of Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University)
 
Tony is trying to set up lunch with Mike Mathis and Chuck Harple on Monday, March 7th.  We have not received a confirmation to the e-mail request.
