In a nutshell, I decided to get involved in fundraising efforts early to do my part to ensure that the campaign is well financed and well positioned to reach out to voters. This event will provide critical funding for such efforts, so there’s tremendous value in giving now both because the campaign is just getting started and the movement needs the resources, and because these events often sell out, and a gift now allows you to save your spot now (the first DC event sold out in 2007 last time when Barack Obama was a Senator). This also presents a great opportunity to see the President ... he has important work to do, and likely won’t be available for many fundraising events in DC. Even if you can't attend, anything you can do to let others know would be very much appreciated. Please let me know if you do in fact plan to attend ... and of course, please let me know if you have any questions, and I’ll attempt to answer them as soon as possible.
