Distinguished Board Members,

I just wanted to let you all know that despite the numerous cuts being made in the federal budget for FY2011, the Prostate Cancer Research Program at DOD is included in the continuing resolution with an $80 million appropriation.  Given that Sen. McCain made a floor statement and offered a potential amendment that would have eliminated all of the programs of the CDMRP, I think this is a positive step for this year.

We will obviously be facing a much different environment and challenge in the budget battle for FY2012 and I look forward to working with you all to have an impact on the Members of Congress and other decision makers that you can have an impact on.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments, and I look forward to seeing you all in June at the Board Meeting.

Kevin
