I heard some interesting feedback from Jimmy/Michael yesterday on Mr. Che’s medical device transaction.  I’m thankful for your advice and appreciate your continued attention to this deal, which we have spent quite some time preparing for the next moves after we got back to the US from China.

 

Solebury is one of our closest business associates in the US and China big projects.  They are well respected in the investment banking arena on the Street.  Its senior partners are close friends of mine and they have my full trust.  I believe with their joining Jimmy/Michael and me in this medical device transaction Mr. Che’s interest will be well taken care of and Mr. Che will be well served.  Please have Mr. Che favorably consider this proposal from me to take Solebury on board for the sake of success in this transaction.  I’m sure that doing so will not increase additional and unnecessary cost to Mr. Che.

 

That said, your advice is well taken.  Maybe we need to know what exactly does Mr. Che need from us in this deal and we go from there.  Please let me have your feedback at your earliest convenience in this matter so that it’s easier for us to define the scope of work.  Additionally, I need to know the following:

 

1.        Is this deal a tender offer or a hostile takeover? 

2.        Has there been any communication with the takeover target?

3.        What is the timing of the deal?

4.        What kind of steps has Mr. Che's team taken so far?

 

Send my regards to Che and tell him that my team and I are trying hard for his deal and we’re ready to move upon his concurrence.
