Am sure you guys have discussed, but may want to do some additional thinking on what role we want to play in the Coalition before Sunday. Sounds like they are sold on you serving as ED - which im not really sure we want to do?

I met with Joe this morning. Mtg was arranged and coordinated through Hunter Biden's office. Good meeting and we focused on the NEHSR Coalition. He heard about the coalition through Hunter and wanted to discuss directly with me. He is supportive of the concept and has offered to help in anyway possible. We agreed that I would remain in regular contact with him about the Coalition development and progress and we could be each other's back channels of communication. He is fully supportive of and thinks Hunter would be a great choice for the Coalition's ED.

He is concerned about the engangement and focus of the NE HSR Commission, and believes its an anemic group at this time. He is hopeful that the new Exec Director will bring energy and focus.

He congratulated us on Hiring Jeff Parker as a strong asset for HNTB

He encouraged that both Jeff and I attend the next NE HSR Commission meeting in Boston on 6/23. Suggested that perhaps we could arrange a seperate meeting with him, Engel, and Gardner after or before.  Jeff, let's coordinate and assuming travel schedule works I can join but at a minimum you should plan to be there. This may be a good neeting for Hunter to attend also, depending in how our meeting at APTA goes.

I mentioned we were meeting with the Board on Wed. He thought that was a great idea.
