Dear Host Committee

Thank you very much for your support.  As you have no doubt heard President Lula has been diagnosed with cancer and has begun treatment this week – as a result he has withdrawn from participating in GFI’s event.  We are surely very disappointed but understand his decision.

We nonetheless have a wonderful event planned and have nearly reached our goal of raising $100,000.  If you go to the website www.fairnessaward.org you will see that local anchor Maureen Bunyan will host the event, and we have fantastic entertainment than includes Peruvian dancers in honor of our award recipient along with two outstanding jazz entertainers.

This week we are asking for one last push for possible sponsors and VIP tickets!  I know you have all done a great deal to help GFI reach this goal and on behalf of the Board and the staff I thank you.

If you would like to invite people to the VIP reception and the event as a way to introduce them to GFI please let Aalap know and he will follow up directly with you.  Aalap also needs to know your planned attendance at the VIP reception and the event.  Caleb is holding VIP seats for each of you and your party – we want to make sure we get the numbers right so Aalap will be contacting you directly.

Thank you again for your support and assistance.

I look forward to seeing you on the 8th of November.

Warmest regards,

Karen

Access Code 5587365

If possible, please send me any updates on the corporate outreach you have been making before our call.
