Dear friends,

Hunter and I would like to invite you to our house on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. to introduce you to an organization that we have been involved with since its inception in 2008.  The DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (DCVLP) was founded by our dear friend, Karen Marcou, and  two other lawyers, Jenny Brody and Marla Spindel.  In the past 4 years DCVLP has grown to over 500 attorneys engaged in helping low-income families and children in D.C.  DCVLP lawyers represent victims of domestic violence in custody, divorce and immigration cases, help foster parents adopt children, and represent the best interests of children in custody cases.  

Please join Hunter and I at 7:30 for drinks and dessert.  Karen and Jenny will share with us the work they are doing.  This isn't a fundraiser but a chance to spread the word about an innovative new organization that is making a difference in our town.
