Guys,

We are on for our meeting with the Nationals on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 2:00 pm.  We'll be meeting with Catherine Silver, Vice President for Ballpark Enterprises and Guest Services.

Does that still work for a few of us?

thanks,
Mike

Great job, Mike M, thanks.

I can do either – the costs are a bit troubling, particularly if the per person cost is excessive. But I am definitely excited to have this discussion with them.

The Nats are holding the Lexus President's Club (and the PNC Diamond Club) for our event on Friday, March 16.

Their director of events, Katherine Silver, can meet with us on Tuesday, November 29.  Would 2:00 or 3:00 that afternoon work for you all?  Please let me know and I'll lock the meeting in - or find another date.

Some things to note going into this meeting:

  • they host 20+ charity events a year at this venue and have done some unique things to raise $ (for example they DO open the batting cage for batting practice)
  • HOWEVER, the costs are higher than we anticipated and more like a hotel:
    • they charge $3,500 or $5,000 to rent for 5 hours the President's or Diamond Club, respectively;
    • they provide the food and beverage and charge per person (charge includes labor costs)

thanks,

Mike

Gentlemen,

Andy Feffer (COO of the Nationals) liked our event concept and confirmed that, in theory, we could use either the President's Club or the Diamond Club at the Nationals Stadium for this event.

He is having his events person call me to discuss the date and details.  If Friday, March 16 is available, I'll ask her to hold it for us and set up a meeting.

Hi Josh, Mike and Rob,

Mike Smith has offered to host a lunch for us to get together to discuss the event ideas we received from the rest of the group.  Mike is suggesting either November 15 or 17.  It would be great if we could all get together and make a decision at the lunch about which direction we will go.

Please let me know whether either of these dates work. In the meantime, I am attaching the (unedited) suggestions for your review prior to the lunch.

Thanks in advance for your help.  Looking forward to getting together and moving this forward.

Best regards,

Ron
