Hunter – Below is a slightly revised version of a draft statement for your consideration to send Burisma for their press release about you.  We agree with your approach that allows for Burisma to put you on their website, issue a press release including the statement below from you, and otherwise publicize you joining the board, but that you not do any interviews. It’s unnecessary to help them generate press interest, would be atypical for joining a board and is otherwise not prudent, as I know you already agree.  We are still pursuing whether or not our firm can agree to a press release, but that is an entirely separate issue and should not hold up your press release.  If we do anything involving BSF, it should be done after your announcement.

Draft Statement of Hunter Biden re: Joining Board of Burisma:

“Burisma’s track record of innovation and industry leadership in the field of natural gas means that it can be a strong driver of a strong economy in Ukraine. As a new member of the Board, I am looking forward to advising Burisma on matters of transparency, corporate governance and responsibility, international expansion and other priorities that will contribute to the economy and benefit the people of Ukraine.”

What do you think. I think it's important we try to link the two engagements as closely as possible. 

If I make any kind of statement it should be along the lines of: "Burisma's expertise and track record as the largest independent producer of energy inside Ukraine is vital to the growth and security of the Ukrainian economy. Burisma has shown leadership in adopting the most advanced technical expertise in the field of natural gas and by partnering with major US firms they have positioned themselves to increase production and productivity as they expand operations domestically to meet the growing energy needs of Ukraine. I look forward to advising Burisma along with BSF on matters of corporate governance, US partnerships and international expansion. The objective is to help Burisma maintain it's critical role in the production of domestic energy for the benefit of the Ukrainian people and their economy. I was honored to be asked to serve on the board by President X and to join the Chairman Alan Apter, DA etc.... I believe Burisma is committed to creating a transparent corporate culture...

Following our last email exchanges with regard to signature of the EL from Boies, it looks like within 24hours it will be signed. Following that even, I would like to clarify /coordinate with you few steps that we agreed we would do after this document is singed by both parties, and few other moves I have in mind.

Please comment below each point, Thank you.

 

1.       We put HB bio and photo on the Burisma website.

 

2.       We make press release as to HB appointment and put it on the website only.

 

3.       We make press release as to HB appointment and send it out to Ukrainian media.

 

4.       We make a small news article as to HB appointment and put it on our website only as the news of the company.

 

5.       We make 1 or 2 articles as to HB appointment, maybe in a form of the interview and organize publishing in Ukrainian newspapers

 

Also please advise should I consult with Boies as to the following:

               

We make press release as to cooperation with Boies, send it out to Ukrainian mass media, make news article, maybe an interview with one of the partners ( maybe with Heather )of the firm, etc.

 

These are an optional short term steps, should you have in mind any additional move, please advise.
