Vadim – Further to my email earlier today about the visa issue, please note the email below from the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (to MLS, who initiated the inquiry to them), where they explain that they cannot disclose “to a third party” any further information on why Nikolai’s visa was revoked. But, if Nikolai contacts them directly, they may provide him with further explanation as to why it was revoked.  So please consider having him forward this email chain and inquire personally to the email address below.

Ms. Spanjich,

Section 222 (f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of 1952, as amended, provides that the records of the Department of State and of diplomatic and consular offices of the United States pertaining to the issuance or refusal of visas or permits to enter the United States are confidential.  Consequently, under most circumstances we are unable to disclose information from our visa files to third parties.  Therefore, due to the personal nature of information submitted on the visa application form, we cannot discuss the content of Mr. Zlochevskiy's visa application with you.

We regret that we could not provide you with a more positive response.  Nonetheless, we hope you will find this information of assistance.

Sincerely,
