Haven't heard from him yet. My suggestion is to NOT rely on Miguel for this even if he says he can get it done or has it done.  Because if he fails to deliver and Nicolai gets turned back at the border, that is an embarrassment that is hard to come back from.
If we can't even get it done in our own country, it is probably asking too much for Miguel to get it done down there, especially given his track record with us.
Thoughts?
Let me know if you still want me to press him on it when we talk.

I hear you. Much like the US, it may just not be possible to get done. Will follow up with him.

Ok- as you can see from msg below I need to provide concrete information in some way that NZ won't be denied entry. If MaM can't do that within next day or two I will have to tell him not to risk it. I've emailed and texted MAM on this and no reply- but obviously it's really important to me personally.

Dear colleagues,

Hope, you are well.

Just to let you know, our sources at the Mexican embassy confirmed to us that if a person has had certain unsettled issues re the American visa in the past, there's a strong probability that he or she might have problems at the Mexican border.

With this in mind, I feel that we should consider the risks for Nikolay going there.

Best,
Vadym
