Gents,
Hope, all is well. Here is a short summary re USAID/Burisma project in Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine. US Ambassador Geoffrey R Pyatt met Donetsk region governor Mr Zhebrivsky in October.

During the meeting, the Governor expressed his concern about shortage of gas supplies in the region, due to the fact that the bigger part of gas network was destroyed following military operations in the region.

Following that, USAID contacted Burisma in Kyiv, and I had a few communications, including a meeting with Mr Jed Burton, USAID Director in Ukraine and Mr Stephen Goneya Director for USAID Economic Growth office.

During this meeting, Burisma expressed its willingness to contribute and assist in restoring gas pipelines. Burisma also suggested to launch a pilot project in Donetsk region on restoring a certain village, including its roads, buildings, communal services, etc. The technical part of the process between USAID, Burisma and Donetsk regional administration is under way now.

Best,

Vadym
