This is great. My thinking is that we create and fund an operation based at CSIS.org that focusses on solutions to food security that can be implemented in real time. I have had extensive conversations with Dr. Hamre and the I have the full support of WFP USA to organize this. We would have an incredible space to convene and bring together thought leaders from both the private sector and the NGO community with the intent of actually implementing new and existing solutions to delivering food to those most in need.

my long term thinking is that this is what I/ We are known for. The possible connection to the UN leadership and the real ability that we have to bring both ideas and capital to the table along with a platform (CSIS/WFP) makes this a very interesting opportunity. I would love for you to be a partner in it.

Following our conversation, I would like to let you know that it would be great if we could combine our efforts and do something important together in the area of food safety, as well in other areas of interest for WFP and other UN strategic initiatives.

As I have mentioned, so far I have got some positive experience working with the UN.

During the course of my public service while working at the Ministry of Ecology and other environmental agencies in Ukraine, i.e., for 4 years as I acted as a GEF Focal Point and have been on the Council of Global Environmental Facility (Washington based organization within the UN structure), as well as extensively cooperated with many UN agencies.

Last year after going to private sector last year, I worked as a Consultant and as National Project Coordinator for different environmental UNEP and UNIDO run projects.

Therefore, I believe that my experience thus far together with my strong enthusiasm for this work will contribute positively to new vitally important initiatives that you and your colleagues from UN and other organizations have envisaged.
