Important Information About Authorized Users: An Authorized User is a person authorized by you to act on your behalf in a retail store. You can authorize up to 10 Authorized Users per account.

Account Passcode: If required and your Authorized User does not know your account passcode or extra security passcode, your Authorized User may still access your account in a retail store using a Forgotten Passcode process. Visit att.com/userupdates for full details.

Adding Wireless Lines of Service*: An Authorized User will have the ability to add new lines of service to your account. *Important Information regarding New Lines of Service and Credit Checks:  Users authorized by you to act on your behalf in retail stores ("Authorized Users") and those who call into Customer Service and provide sufficient account information ("Authenticated Callers") will have the ability to add a new line of service to your account. Such requests, whether made by you, an Authorized User, an Authenticated Caller or someone with online access to your account, will trigger a credit check on you. This credit check may be accomplished through an internal credit check of our records and those of our affiliates (including any credit report information in our/their possession) and/or an external credit check through a consumer reporting agency. By retaining existing or adding new Authorized Users to your account, sharing your account passcode or other account information or sharing your online credentials, you affirmatively consent to allowing these users to add new lines of service, you authorize the sharing of credit information between us and our affiliates for such purpose, and you authorize us to obtain a credit report on you from a consumer reporting agency, if we determine that to be necessary. You may refuse consent and prevent an Authorized User, an Authenticated Caller or someone with your online credentials from adding new lines of service and triggering our credit check process by removing the Authorized User(s) from your account, resetting and personalizing your account passcode and not sharing the new passcode with anyone or editing your online Account Profile to remove secondary users. Any such changes will take effect after we have had a reasonable opportunity to process them.
