Hunter can confirm this but it is actually a little known fact that the VP loves to scan the wedding announcements in his free time and if he sees anyone he knows he'll send them a letter. I am sure that is what happened in this case.

Hahaha, I don't even think we published an announcement because we're such
slackers. The VP just KNEW, he's that good.
