Thanks very much- that is  great set up for us.  Have a great Fourth of July.

Scott,

I wanted to let you know that I was unable to reach the Ambassador this week due to conflicting schedules.   However, in the essence of time, I sent a letter to the Ambassador so that he would make the connection between my role on the CNP Board and the upcoming delegation to Japan.  He should be able to read it before the delegation leaves for Tokyo.  I plan to follow up directly after the delegation returns.

Hope you enjoy the holiday weekend.

Best,
Hunter

Attached is a one page script for your pitch to the Japanese Ambassador on behalf of CNP and the Truman Project.  Of course feel free to personalize.

This one pager sums up our engagement with the Japanese and provides a dollar amount ask which is realistic based on their previous overture and giving to other think tanks in DC.

Timing is important here- Mike is taking a delegation to Tokyo next week-  so a call from you before July 4th break is an ideal set up for us to engage and close during the summer.

Thanks again- this means a lot to our organization.  Have a great weekend and let us know how it goes or if you need anything more.

Have a great weekend.
