Dear 10th Grade Parents,Please make note of a couple of events in February.1. Over the course of the second semester, Dr. Kasaan Holmes, our upper school psychologist will host grade-level parent conversations, focusing on different developmentally appropriate topics. For her first parent coffee, 9th and 10th grade parents are invited to learn about typical teenage development and the ever-changing demands of adolescent parenting. This coffee will take place on Thursday, February 9th at 8.00 am in the choral room.2. We would like to invite 10th grade parents and students to join Sidwell Lower School volunteers for an afternoon of service at A Wider Circle on Saturday, February 25th at 12.00 pm. We will meet in the SFS upper school cafeteria and have pizza before heading off in a chartered bus to AWC. We will work with the other volunteers from 1:00-3:00. A bus will return all of the 10th grade volunteers to the SFS Upper School at 3:30.We are hoping that this is a fun, rewarding and useful event for parents, students and AWC beneficiaries.
