Dear Friends: Please join me in congratulating the incredible Farah Mohamed on her appointment as the Malala Fund's new CEO <https://blog.malala.org/introducing-malala-funds-new-ceo-farah-mohamed-7cacfc043523#.bimpwosmc>. Farah joins the Malala Fund team as a leading voice on girls' empowerment and advocacy through her organization G(irls)20 in Canada. I hope you will join all of Malala Fund in celebrating her appointment -- and promise to conspire with her to continue powerful work for girls around the world! After three incredible years with the Malala Fund, I wrapped up my service at the beginning of February so that I could have more time with my young son. I'm honored to be the first woman appointed as Entrepreneurship Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center, serving alongside these extraordinary people for Spring 2017 <https://shorensteincenter.org/shorenstein-center-announces-spring-2017-fellows/>. My fellowship focuses on refugee policy and collaboration with the Harvard faculty to further foster social innovation. It's not lost on me after spending the last few years with girls from Syria to Nigeria to Pakistan whose greatest hope was to go to school, how very lucky I am to have this opportunity to contribute to such a vibrant academic community. I hope you'll continue to stay in touch! My personal email will remain meighanstone@gmail.com and I warmly welcome any visitors to the Kennedy School. Should you make it to Cambridge, I hope you'll come ready to share both the finest in coffee and your most creative ideas as to how I might next be of service in this work we all care about so much. Should you have any matters or invitations for Malala, my wonderful colleague Eason Jordan will be your ideal contact moving forward: eason@malalafund.org. You will be in the very best of hands! It has been the honor of my life to be of support to Malala, her family and our dedicated team as we’ve worked together to educate and empower girls globally. I'm deeply grateful to them -- and to you -- for all you've done to make our work possible. Many thanks!
