Today, we wanted you to know that we are announcing the formation of the Biden Foundation, which has been established by several long-time supporters: Mark Gitenstein, Mark Angelson, Valerie Biden Owens, Jeff Peck and myself. And, we are thrilled that Louisa Terrell has agreed to serve as the Foundation's Executive Director.

The Foundation's goal is to build on Vice President and Dr. Biden's lifelong commitment to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and gets a fair shot at achieving the American Dream. Initially, it will focus on seven core pillars: the Cancer Initiative, Strengthening and Growing the Middle Class, Foreign Policy, Equality, Community Colleges, Military Families, Protecting Children and Ending Violence Against Women.

This announcement of the formulation of the Foundation is just the initial step. In the coming weeks and months, there will be more announcements and additional information. We invite you to check out our website bidenfoundation.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
