Jay,
Thank you very much for your message. I share your excitement about the significant opportunities ahead that we will realize due to the deepening collaboration among the teams. As I noted (and state regularly), the relationship between WFP and WFP USA is the best ever - across all operations, reflecting the strong commitment and leadership from you, Jon, Corrine, Elisabeth and Ertharin. As you move on to your new role within WFP, you leave a legacy of great success.

On behalf of the entire staff and Board of WFP USA and those that we are honored to serve, thank you.

All the Best and Happy Holidays,
Rick

Rick:

I wanted to reach out and express my appreciation to WFP USA for hosting Deanna and Nicolas last week. I was pleased to hear they found the day productive and came out of the meeting feeling very positive about strengthening our collaboration. The time spent with others from your organisation helped them/us gain a fuller picture of the work WFP USA is doing beyond fundraising.

Deanna and Nicolas shared that you noted that the relationship between WFP and WFP USA is stronger than ever, and I agree. We are excited to continue to build on this and I am pleased to to hear that our teams are developing a framework for deeper collaboration on partnerships with US based businesses. There is tremendous untapped potential to secure large-scale (US$1M+) partnerships through more structured collaboration. Deanna and Nicolas have begun work on the document outlining how our teams can better work together that was discussed last week. I am looking to Deanna and Nicolas to be very proactive about prospecting - building a strong new business plan and doing what we can to support the outreach Marianne's team will be making.

As you have probably heard I will be leaving my current role as Director of PGP in February. Prerana Issar, previously our Director of HR will be the new Director. We'll have more details on the transition in early 2017.

Let me wish you a wonderful holiday and know that I and my colleagues are looking forward to working closely with the WFP USA team in 2017 to increase the resources raised from within the US in support of those we serve.

All the best - Jay
