We are pleased to announce that NDI has partnered with Stanford University
to offer a free, open, bilingual (Arabic/English) online course: the
Technology for Accountability Lab (#TFALab). This action-oriented course is
intended to facilitate learning and collaboration between two audiences: civic
activists who have an interest in using technology in their work and
technologists
who are interested in using their skills to build a more democratic and
less corrupt world. See a "teaser" video here
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzd8lwLC9FM> (Arabic: here
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZTnPG6oTis>). The Lab is being supported
in part by the Aspen Institute's Steven's Initiative, named in honor of the
late U.S. ambassador to Libya. The Initiative is being funded by the State
Department and the Bezos Family Foundation.

Registration for the course is now open. The course launches on August 9,
2016 at 19:00 GMT. At that time, 22 videos on 7 accountability topics will
become available immediately in both English and Arabic. See the complete
list of topics and presenters here

Individuals who complete course requirements will receive a statement of
accomplishment from Stanford Online. For more information or to register,

Feel free to share information on the course through your networks and
through social media. While the course is open to anyone, eligible
participants in the course from the US and MENA also have the opportunity
to compete for slots in a follow-on virtual exchange program and a study
mission to Washington and Silicon Valley. A flyer on the program is
attached.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want further information.
