But the race goes live to everyone on August 1st. We are limited to 300 runners so don't wait until last minute. > There is absolutely NO day of race registration due to timing handicap. > > > Of special importance is the recognition of the recent passing of our wonderful host, Frolic Weymouth. His wonderful smile may not be there to greet us, but his spirit will be with us throughout the day. > > Race Registration > > Special note - new this year The Brandywine Bend is the first of a three race trail series. > Race 2 is a 5K at Oberod Estate on October 16th. > Race 3 is a 10 at Brandywine Creek State Park on November 26th. > > See you soon! > Mac Weymouth > Mike Monagle > > > The Brandywine Bend Footrace > Sunday, October 2nd at 9am > > What: > We have created a trail run similar to the Dipsea Race, the second oldest footrace in the nation. > > The Brandywine Bend offers a beautiful and challenging course. The race is time-handicapped based on several things: condition of course, age and gender. The race is electronically timed, your race bib will have a chip. The first runner across the finish will be the winner, but they may not have the fastest time on that day. Results will be available at the finish during the post-race breakfast. > > - The event is limited to 300 runners. You will need to register ASAP. > - The time handicap format will remain. There have been some adjustments based off results from previous years. > - The race will run the original course (weather permitting). We moved the race day back a few weeks in the hope that we will be able to run across the river. > - You will be emailed a link to the course map after registration, but if you have a question you can email mikem@delawarerunning.com > > - As in the past, the race proceeds are donated to The Young Friends of the Brandywine Conservancy and another local charity. > > Race Information > > > > > > 5K at Oberod Estates > benefiting Children & Families First > October 16th > Race 2 of our new Trail Series > We will be joining the 5K at Oberod Estate. We are excited to sponsor a very special event at the Oberod Estate in Centerville, DE. The morning will begin at 9:30 with a traditional 5K cross country race. Run entirely on private property, this will be the first race on this challenging course that has more than 1500ft elevation change. > > www.cffde.org > > Delaware Running Company, 4021 C Kennett Pike, Greenville Crossings, Greenville, DE 19807 > Forward this email | About our service provider > Sent by mikem@delawarerunning.com in collaboration with > > Try it free toda
