In just over 10 days, I will begin the 50in30 Challenge and I want you to be the first to know the details. Everybody remembers the tremendous support of the Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014. This year I decided to take the bucket challenge up a notch…or 50.
I decided to challenge myself to drive through all 48 states AND fly to Alaska and Hawaii in 30 days this August to do a specific bucket challenge in each one. Fom chili in Texas to baked beans in Boston and salmon in Alaska, there’s no limit to what you’ll see each day. Why am I doing this…am I out of my mind? I’m doing this because I’ve made so many friends over the years who have ALS and I have seen the struggles they and their caregivers face every single day. If the patients and their families can deal with this disease for months and years, then I can put myself and my family through this challenge for one month. But I won’t be doing this alone.
