Dear Members of the Truman Boards of Directors,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our board meeting earlier this
month. We were so encouraged by everyone’s commitment to support our
fundraising efforts as we enter 2018. For those who couldn’t make it, I do
hope we are able to connect in person soon.

As many of you know, we have been making a year-end giving push with our
friends and supporters, from personalized letters, to emails and calls to
make sure we end 2017 on a high note. With that in mind, I am thrilled to
share with you that fellow Truman Center board member Robert Abernethy has
generously agreed to provide a match for up to $100,000 in gifts we receive
as part of this effort.

We will announce the matching campaign through a focused end of year email
and social media push on December 31, 2017 by targeting current and
prospective donors and making our membership aware of the campaign in the
hopes they share with their networks. The matching campaign will wrap up in
the first quarter of 2018, or as soon as we are able to match Mr.
Abernethy’s $100,000 contribution one-to-one. Truman would love to count a
gift from each you towards this effort. We will be sure to share the
promotion emails with you, and we ask that you please share it with your
networks as well.
