Meet Artemis This poor kitty was found shot and starving on the streets of Thailand, covered in fleas and suffering tremendously- a common plight for animals in this country. Thanks to our partners at Soi Dog Foundation, he was found and taken off the streets. But once safe, he tested positive for FIV, making it that much harder for him to find a home. He could have lived his life in the communal FIV area of the shelter but we felt he deserved more. Artemis arrived to HT in fall 2017. But quickly we realized he was in pain. And thus, a trip the vet showed us that he had a massive dental infection and needed almost all of his teeth pulled. The pain had become too much.  Donations like yours have allowed us to give this sweet boy a reprieve from the pain and hope that a family might take him in. He continues to struggle but is getting the very best care possible. Your donation will help Mary Anne from Puerto Rico and her puppies. Mary Anne is a starving mother dog currently living on the streets of Puerto Rico. Our wonderful partners at the The Guanica Animal Rescue Project are working to feed her while trying to locate her young puppies who are likely hidden in the nearby brush. Mary Anne will need special care to get her weight back if her puppies are to survive. And she is likely heartworm positive. She will need weeks of care once her pups can be located and a temporary foster found for her in Puerto Rico. And then she will need to be healthy enough to travel to the mainland US. Imagine - by February we could have Mary Anne in a new, loving home and her pups fat and healthy. A donation today will help us say YES to the next Artemis and Mary Anne.
