You know Leann will work her heart out for you in Washington D.C., but here are some things you might not know...

Leann is a proud mom of two daughters, who she worked to put through college as a single mom. When she married her husband, Leann became the lucky stepmom to four kids and gained lots of extended family -- she even has the best bearded son-in-law in the state.

Leann's a boss; from President of the Technology Association of Iowa, to founder of Capitol Gains, to owner of Spencer's Bear Coffeehouse and Wine Bar, Leann has lived and worked in Iowa for nearly 30 years.

Leann's always been great at bringing people together; she started the Riverfront Farmers Market, which brings farmers, gardeners and consumers together for fresh crops.

Leann knows the importance of women leaders; that's why she helped found Iowa Women in Public Policy to help encourage women to actively engage in public office. She also started an Iowa Women of Innovation event, and worked to get girls at young ages involved in STEM.

Leann knows it's time we had a representative who cares more about the people than his next headline -- Iowa's Fourth District needs a servant, not King.
