Thanks to all of you who've RSVP'd for the event on September 15. If you've already RSVP'd you don't need to do so again.

The event on September 15, featuring Senator Reid and 17 of his colleagues (from the classes of 2006 and 2008), will be one of our last events in Washington before we break for the final push to the election. I encourage all of you to attend and to pass this invite along to your clients and colleagues. We want this event to be a great one.

Sharron Angle and her buddy Karl Rove are spending $500,000 a week on negative TV ads in Nevada. While we're confident in our game plan and our team's ability to execute it, we recognize Angle's Tea Party base and Karl Rove's millions will keep this race close until the very end. We need every dollar we can raise to match her.

Hosts will be given priority seating, which is limited, so please RSVP to me (josh@harryreid.com) or Jake Perry (jake@harryreid.com) as soon as possible.

Additionally, this event will benefit the Reid Victory Fund, a joint committee between Friends for Harry Reid and the Nevada State Democratic Party (Federal Account). This allows you or your PAC to contribute even if you've maxed out to Friends for Harry Reid.

Contributions to Reid Victory Fund will be allocated as follows: The first $2,400 of each contribution from a person and the first $5,000 from a multicandidate committee will be allocated to Friends for Harry Reid. The first $2,400/$5,000 of a person's/multicandidate committee's contribution will be considered designated for the general election. The next $10,000 of each contribution from a person and the next $15,000 of each contribution from a multicandidate committee will be allocated to the Nevada Democratic Party Federal Account. Any contributor may designate his or her contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
