Just so we are all on the same page-they do not want to hire a lobbyist and I do not think they will. Tomar is going to keep working Menendez, Schumer, Gilibrand (though she hasn't been a focus to date), the Elmira Mayor and the County Executive.

On my end, I'm going to keep pushing the story in New York.

They would like to regroup at 2 p.m. Does that work for everyone?

I think u should take this argument on directly with him incase he is talking to alstrom, we need to shoot them down on that argument - which I'd be making if I were them. Plus there are other companies - siemans in california. The area has the best fastest job creator with CAF

Exactly. I didn't mention Alstom at all or the switching plant issue, but I emphasized the serious time delay. Should I give Virginia heads up just in case this reporter calls the facility manager?

I pitched them heavily on the jobs issue, but the reporter immediately clued in on the fact that a competitor may have started the whole thing (there is an Alstom facility in the town next to Elmira). I'll keep following up with the reporter, but I just wanted to give you a heads up that that may be part of the story.
