Thank you very much for the kind words. The agents assigned to you and
your family are proud to be with you. I am grateful for the respect and
kindness that you and your family show them. All of us have been
thinking of Kathleen and your family since last week when we were
informed of her accident. I am glad to hear that she is doing better. I
am also glad that we were there to help. I am extremely proud of what
our men and women do every day and this is one more example of how well
our people perform in critical situations. I cannot tell you how much
it meant to each of them for you to thank them individually. I will let
them know how much their efforts are appreciated by your family and by
those of us in the Secret Service who they represent.
All the best to you and your family Hunter and if there is anything you

Dear Director Sullivan,


I just returned from a family trip abroad and wanted to let you know how
grateful I am to the Secret Service Agents that accompanied me and my
family. All of the agents working with us for the past 18 months have
been consistently professional and courteous, and have gone above and
beyond their duties on many occasions. I have always been impressed,
but until this last trip I was lucky enough not to have truly seen them
in action. I will spare you the details, but my wife was badly injured
(all is fine now) and if it were not for the team of agents led by Jim
Helminski I don't know what we would have done. Their preparedness and
calm in this emergency was amazing. I hope I never have to rely on it
again. I have thanked each of them individually, but I wanted to make
certain that I let you and Secretary Napolitano know how grateful I am
to the entire organization. I have listed the agents (led by Jim
Helminski) who were with us below, and I hope you have the opportunity
to tell them how much their efforts are appreciated by the entire Biden
family.
