Agreed. I was about to email L back last night to respond but decided it wasn't even worth it. Did at least want to explain it to Abel when he raised it with me last night to show his partner has no clue.

And of course my "shock" at the press reporting of it was feigned. To be honest the Administration seems to have f'ed this up. It would have been better to tee this up as a jobs bill that is waiting for approval (and mostly paid for) rather than what looks like new spending. I have to agree with the GOP here. They are tone deaf on spending. Handled poorly. Unless per my earlier email Plouffe has numbers that say this gets out surge voters I just don't get it. I guess they realize they should cede independents this time and hope they don't vote while trying to energize the base.
