Interesting and timely article in today's Post. Note the key paragraph below:


The Department of Homeland Security - which is responsible for protecting
civilian government systems and helping to secure commercial networks - would
like to see such "continuous monitoring" applied across the entire federal
government and beyond, said Phil Reitinger, deputy undersecretary of the
National Protection and Programs Directorate.

"We certainly want to build out a fundamentally more secure ecosystem that can
be adopted by the private sector as well," he said.
