Good afternoon!

I wanted to share some exciting news; the Beau Biden Foundation in
partnership with Prevent Child Abuse Delaware, has been awarded a Longwood
Foundation grant for 2019 (a 2 year grant), to implement comprehensive
training of children and educators in the highest Title I school districts
in Delaware. The BBF portion of the grant, which we much match, is
$128,263, and we will be responsible for the education of school personnel
in child sexual abuse prevention.

This is our largest grant to date, and was quite a competitive process. The
team worked very hard to put together a compelling project, and to
demonstrate the importance of education in the prevention of child sexual
abuse.
We will begin the work on this grant in July 2019; we expect to receive our
portion of the first year, $64,230 before the end of this calendar year. We
will train 7500 educators and staff through this project.
