Further to Hunter's earlier email, the meeting between CAF and Rogoff is scheduled for Friday at 3:30pm at DOT. They are working on their message to Rogoff between now and then and hope to be able to persuade him to delay implementation of the ruling while they can do additional fact finding or cancel just the two cars not the entire 103. I explained to Tomar that it will be hard for Rogoff to backtrack publicly after he issued such a strong letter, but they are happy that they are getting the opportunity to make their case.

Not sure if Abel called Virginia yet, but Tomar said to me (unsolicited) that Virginia will be following up with Abel to make sure our invoices are paid as promised and in a timelier manner than 90 days. So it is on their radar screen.

Mentioned Florida and Tomar said they are still focused on it and in fact he has gotten some calls from other consortia this week which he took as a good sign that CAF's image has not been affected by this Houston issue. He wants our help on this still and asked that we talk after the Rogoff meeting on Friday to figure out a plan on Florida going forward.

As Hunter said, I don't think they realize the scope of the problem Houston has caused them, so I tried to be a little more alarmist than they may have liked. The lack of any Congressional champions is going to be a big problem for them in moving Rogoff.
