After two days of waiting for more votes to be tallied across the state of Arizona, State Representative David Lujan has conceded the Democratic Primary for Attorney General to Felecia Rotellini. Rotellini was leading Lujan by around 3,000 votes when Lujan conceded giving the Democratic party a nominee for the fall’s election. Rotellini pledged to focus on consumer protection, immigration and border crimes and supporting Arizona’s families and businesses in her fall campaign. To find out more about Felecia Rotellini and the Felecia for Arizona effort, please visit her campaign website [2]www.feleciaforarizona.com. Links: 2. http://www.feleciaforarizona.com On the Republican side though the race continues on, State Superintendent Tom Horne now leads Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas by close to a thousand votes. There are still 54,000 uncounted provisional ballots left in Arizona, which are expected to be counted at some time today. The majority of the uncounted ballots are in Maricopa County which still has 37,000 ballots left. Under state law a recount would be mandatory if the two candidates come within 200 votes of each other. Both candidates are looking to have this resolved before going into the weekend. We will organize a candidate conference call with Felecia in the near future to give you the opportunity to learn more about her. DAGA will continue to bring you the latest election information throughout the season. Please feel free to contact us at 303.831.0100 if you have any questions.
