I am sending out my first email to our 350 employees today. Maybe some of you can make it this year. We would love to have you visit Baltimore and be a part of this great event. Good morning, We are 6 weeks from the start of the 2011 Baltimore Great Prostate Cancer Challenge, Sunday morning, September 25th. The TV commercials are beginning to run. People are getting excited. Event preparations are going well under the Event Director, Jeff Zemencik and his team. This year the GPCC is in 27 cites across the U.S. We all should be proud that it started here in Baltimore. Now it is time to kick fundraising and registration into high gear! Baltimore and CUA was again last years top fundraising city at over $300,000. Our CUA Scholarship funding prostate cancer research has over $500,000 of the $750,000 committed and we have held close to 50 prostate cancer screening opportunities in Baltimore continuing to raise awareness about a disease that kills 28,000 men a year and touches us every day. This is the fifth year for the GPCC. I want to make it the best and we are well on our way to do that but I need your help. I need your help to raise money and to get people to the event. CUA is a great organization because of its people and I know I can count on you again this year for an even greater effort. Please, contact your family, friends, Facebook and email contacts and neighbors to encourage them to sign up and join us September 25th at Towson University. It is easy to do. Here is the website www.greatprostatecancerchallenge.com. The 2011 GPCC brochure is attached. Please, send it out to everyone you can. I promise good weather this year. If each employee at CUA, including the doctors, bring 3 people with them that will give us more than 1,500 people. The goal is 4,000 participants and I hope you help us realize that target! You know how important this is to all of us at Chesapeake Urology. Community service, making a difference is a core value and I hope being a part of Chesapeake Urology makes this your core value, also. I ask for your help. Register, volunteer, sign up as many people as you can and let's continue to make The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge the number one event in the country. Thank you! -- Sanford J. Siegel, M.D, President/CEO Chesapeake Urology Associates, P.A. 25 Crossroads Dr. Suite 306 Owings Mills, MD 21117 Office - 443.738.9394 Fax - 443.738.9390 Chesapeake Urology Associates, P.A. Our people make us the best!!
