Tea Party Republicans are executing the "Destroy Obama" strategy we knew they would.

After taking the economy hostage and bringing it to the brink of catastrophe, they are rewriting the events and blaming the S&P downgrade on President Obama. And they will back this strategy with millions of dollars in special-interest cash.

You know it's outrageous. I certainly do. But we need to make sure the world knows this was the Tea Party Downgrade, not President Obama's. That's why I'm keeping our Emergency Media Campaign going through August. Republicans will have millions in Karl and Koch cash to run attack ads, slander the president and get Tea Party voters to the polls.

We need to raise $100,000 by Friday to fight against each and every attack.

We won't match their corporate cash. We don't have their Big Oil pals in high places. But we DO have half a million grassroots supporters who are willing to fight for what they believe in. And we know what grassroots activists can accomplish.

The truth is on our side. This is the Tea Party Downgrade. Saying otherwise doesn't change the facts. Help us get those facts out.
