Hello everyone!! It was a great week for the girls!

I am following up about the team dinner. First, thanks to all of you who volunteered. Its appreciated and I willing be taking you up on your generous offers for future events. The October 12th dinner will be hosted by Nicole ( mom of Claudia H.) at their home.

So the potluck dinner will take place immediately following the NCS game which should be very exciting. The food categories are typically assigned by class and rotates with every potluck. So for the first, potluck assignments are as follows:


* Sophomores and Seniors: pasta/entrees

* Juniors and Freshmen: salads/desserts

* Everyone try to bring something to drink for kids and parents :).

Nicole will be in touch with follow-up for the 12th! Please mark your calendars - we have a lot to celebrate!!! In my next email, girls' emails will be added - haven't gotten there yet:) so please forward this along to your players.

Subject: Let's Get the Season started!!!

Hello parents!

I want to let you know that I have volunteered to be the team parent as it has become apparent that we had not tended to that little detail. This late role adoption means that we are behind schedule in planning team and family events. In a attempt to keep up tradition and continue the great comradery and team spirit of years past, I would like to get a few events on the calendar. I am proposing that we shoot to have the following:


* Team dinner with parents and coaches 2x this season if possible

- 1st to be held as soon as we can ( October 12 if possible)

- The 2nd would be a dinner to include the traditional senior acknowledgement and end of season celebration

* Dinner for just the girls/ daytime activity around Halloween ( if timing permitting, girls can coordinate, I can facilitate if need be)

* Events around semi-final or championship games if that should be in the cards - TBD

* Sleepover - tentatively at Chez McGuire if my basement is completed by season's end Date to be determined. :)


* I would like to suggest that the first team dinner with parents and coaches be after our only Friday game which is against NCS - OCTOBER 12. ANY VOLUNTEERS to host? It would be potluck. Please respond by email if you can host a potluck.


* For the second team dinner I would like to propose November 2nd. I'm not sure how this aligns with post season tournaments but let's hold the date!


* Hopefully the girls will manage to get together on their own in the next few weeks.


Please let me know if you have other creative suggestions or would like to host a team event!
