The Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley said his committee still plans to meet on Friday morning regarding Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court.

Several senators said Thursday night they expect a committee vote, though Grassley would not say that explicitly.

"We're meeting at 9:30 a.m., that's all I can tell you," Grassley said. "There will be a debate starting at 930."

Senators said they expect a procedural vote on Kavanaugh on the full Senate floor on Saturday, a key test vote for the nominee. If he has 50 supporters, he could be confirmed by early next week.
