I am truly grateful for your support! I can't thank you enough! Good morning… I want to thank all of you who made this year’s Prostate Cancer Run/Walk an enormous success. The skies were cloudy. The rain was constant. Yet thousands of you proudly displayed your enthusiasm and spirit in support of our fight against Prostate Cancer. Through your generosity together we raised over $850,000. That’s a 66% increase! Over 2,250 people registered for the event – 50% more than last year! I can’t say enough about how thankful we are to all of you - Thank You! I will continue to share my personal journey in combating this disease. I hope you will continue to support the thousands of men who struggle with prostate cancer. Your commitment helps support our work at Chesapeake Urology to advocate, educate, and raise money to encourage men to get screened early, support their families, and fund research. Hopefully, some day we will be successful in eradicating prostate cancer and all cancers. I wish all of you the best. I’ll see you next year on September 20, 2019 for our 13th annual Dr. Sanford J. Siegel Prostate Cancer Run/Walk. Over the upcoming year, don't forget to continue to raise awareness by sharing the message of early detection through annual prostate cancer screening! Men 50 and older, and those 40 and over with high risk factors like being African American or having a family history, do not miss your annual screenings! With early detection no men need to die from this disease! I’m truly honored to carry the banner.
