Did you see what Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney said yesterday? He actually told an Iowa crowd that "Corporations are people."

Corporations are people? Could the GOP be any deeper into the pockets of big business?

This is a perfect example of the crazy ideology we're up against, and what our Emergency Media Campaign is designed to fight. Saying that corporations are people is ridiculous – but this kind of rhetoric will pay off for Republicans. The Citizens United decision means those same corporations that Mitt Romney thinks are people can give unlimited donations in support of candidates. The Koch Brothers and Karl Rove's groups are already hard at work spending for Republican candidates. Our Emergency Media Campaign will play a big role in fighting back.

Romney's the quintessential Republican: He made his millions leading a private equity firm that bought up companies, closed plants and killed American jobs. The workers who lost their jobs are people. The corporation that cost them those jobs is not. It's high time Republicans learn the difference.
