Hi friends,

Last week we sent out an email highlighting the differences
in diversity between Democratic and Republican candidates for
state senate (see below).

I guess the graphic hit a sore spot with the GOP, because
they sent us a rather testy email in response, suggesting that:
“If at any time you’d like to get around to talking about the
issues that matter to voters in our districts rather than
identity politics, let us know.”

I guess representative democracy isn’t an issue that matters
to Republican campaign leadership, huh?

Our leadership thought about sending another follow-up
message to our Republican colleagues, but decided that an even
better response would be to create a Rapid Response Fund in
support of our diverse slate of candidates.
